Octopus credentials and account data
Your Octopus API key and account number are stored in iOS Keychain with device-only protection. Account, meter, tariff and consumption requests go directly from your device to Octopus over HTTPS, not through AgileHub servers. Connected data may be cached in protected storage on your device for offline inspection. Optional Home Mini and Intelligent Charging features also communicate directly with Octopus. AgileHub servers do not receive your Home Mini identifier, meter identifiers, charging schedule or personal energy telemetry. Public-price and demo features do not require an Octopus connection.
Public prices, Grid and forecasts
The app requests public prices from Octopus and Grid/forecast information from AgileHub’s mobile service. Public data may be cached locally. Hosting providers process network information such as IP address, request time and requested URL to deliver and protect these services. This is distinct from analytics about how you use the app.
Optional notifications
When you enable alerts, the service stores an Apple push device token, selected region, locale, time zone, app version, environment and public-price alert rules. The token identifies an app installation for delivery, not your Octopus account. No credentials, meter details or consumption are attached. Disabling alerts or disconnecting requests deletion; an internet connection is needed for server deletion to complete. Inactive registrations are removed after 90 days, and invalid tokens are removed when Apple reports them.
Widgets and region
Widgets share public pricing and cheapest-window information with the app. Octopus credentials, meter identifiers and personal consumption are not placed in the widget container. Region and ordinary preferences are stored locally. If you choose optional location-based region selection, iOS asks for permission; the app retains the resolved region rather than precise coordinates.
Subscriptions
Apple handles payment and subscription management. AgileHub uses verified StoreKit entitlement information to enable Pro features. We do not receive payment-card details. Apple processes purchases under its own privacy policy.
Support and diagnostics
If you contact support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. The in-app report prepares an email for you to review; it does not silently upload diagnostics. Optional details can include app version, OS version and the feature involved. Do not include credentials or account/device identifiers. Correspondence is retained as needed to resolve your request and relevant follow-up, meet legal obligations or deal with a dispute. You can ask for deletion. The app has no advertising, analytics SDK or third-party crash-reporting SDK. We do not sell personal data.
Service providers and purposes
Octopus processes requests sent directly to its APIs. Apple provides purchases and push delivery. Cloudflare hosts the mobile API, these pages use OpenAI Sites infrastructure, and Proton Mail hosts the support address. Providers may process service and network information under their own terms, including outside the UK. We use information needed to provide the features you request; our legitimate interests are running a secure, reliable service and responding to support. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it by turning the feature off. We may retain information where legally required. We do not use your data for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Deletion and your choices
Choose Disconnect and Delete Device Data in My Energy to remove Keychain credentials, protected account caches and in-memory account state, and request removal of the alert registration. This does not delete your Octopus account or cancel your Apple subscription. Notification and location permissions can be changed in iOS Settings. You may have rights to access, correct or delete data, restrict or object to processing, and receive a portable copy where applicable. Contact us using the email above; we may need to verify your request without asking for Octopus credentials.
These webpages and changes
These pages contain no advertising, analytics scripts or contact form. Hosting and security infrastructure may process technical request information to deliver pages and prevent abuse.
